The benefits of Lemon essential oil are numerous. Not only does it have a fresh and clean smelling fragrance which aids in refreshing skin and hair, it has a positive effect on the mind and the physiology of the body.
It is an amazing essential oil that contains antibacterial, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-fungal, anti-rheumatic, antispasmodic, sedative, laxative, diuretic and laxative properties.

1) Skin Cleanser
Just a few drops of lemon essential oil added to your bath water can rejuvenate the skin as well as promote clarity of thought. Be sure to mix the essential oil with whole milk or Epsom salts before adding it to your bath to ensure disbursement. It has a fresh clean scent and therapeutic properties that makes your skin feel deeply cleansed.
Rejuvenating Lemon Bath Salts: In a large jar, add 2 cups Epsom salts, 1 cup coarse sea salt and 2 tablespoons jojoba oil along with 10 drops of lemon essential oil. Mix well. Add about 1/2 to 1 cup into a warm bath, let it disperse and hop in to rejuvenate your skin and give you a mood boost!

You can combat acne by making a face cream with both lemon and tea tree oils.
Lemon Acne Cream: In a medium-sized bowl, add 1/4 cup of soft, organic shea butter and add 1 tablespoon of argan oil mix with a whisk until smooth and creamy. Add 4 drops each of lemon and tea tree essential oils. After washing your face spread a pea-sized amount over your face and neck.
3) Blackhead Remover
Due to its skin tightening effects lemon essential oil helps ease out blackheads. It can also prevent black head from forming by removing excess sebum and shrinking large pores that harbor black heads. Blackhead Buster: Begin by steaming your face (fill your sink with hot water, lean over and place a towel like a tent over your head) then lightly scrape the blackheads out. Apply this blackhead-removing mask - 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 drop lemon essential oil and 1 teaspoon raw honey to form a paste. Rub the mixture onto your blackheads then wash off after 10 minutes.

Lemon Egg White Hair Mask: Crack 2 egg whites into a bowl then add in 4 drops of lemon essential oil. Whisk well and carefully apply to your hair from roots to tip. Use a shower cap to cover your head leave it on for 30 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with COLD water. Afterwards, use a natural sulfate-free shampoo & conditioner.
